Reading reviews shows that people either have a terrific or a horrible experience (other hospitals' reviews are the same). I want to chime in as someone who was very pleased with the care at Methodist. My husband was referred there from a Park Nicollet Urgent care to have his appendix removed. They got him in the same day, and I believe his surgeon had to come in just to do this. Everyone who talked to us was helpful and informative. Dr. Denes was the surgeon and he did a great job. He clearly cares about patients and about quality care. My husband had to stay overnight in observation due to high heart rate, and all the nurses/staff there were great as well.

Visited from out of state, ended up in the hospital with some severe pain. They were very thorough with what they found and very informative on what to do next. Despite the situation, it was a very pleasant experience and I’m very thankful.

I am not a patient or client but I wanted to express how grateful I am for the kind people who work at this hospital. I am a relative and the only one who is watching out for my uncle. Every time I call and speak to a desk clerk, operator or a nurse I always have a warm and caring response from each of them. I am a former nurse myself so I know how crazy it can get during a shift. I just wanted to express a big “well done” to the people who work at Methodist Hospital.

I was recently at the ICU floor for a family member who had a health crisis. This department nurses doctors were all extremely caring, understanding and helpful. I can’t tell you enough how this experience was handled so well by them for the family. Thank you to all of them.

Normally a fast emergency room. There is a long wait but it’s a good emergency room. Someone of the doctors don’t admit patients even though they need to be. Almost all staff are friendly there are some providers that are not as nice as most providers. The security guards are extremely friendly and nice

This is a 5 star Hotel Hospital, from the Terrazzo floors to the gowns and socks layed out on the bed waiting to be worn! Next, is the Outstanding Staff that accommodate you right up to the Dr. And Anesthesiologist, very thorough and getting you on your way! Everyone smiling and welcoming you, asking if you need anything to letting you know what will be taking place, as long as you and or someone with you can retain the information! To the Nurses, you are needed and You matter! Thank you to everyone for the job you do! John

I've been hospitalized at Methodist many times for a rare health condition. When I've been admitted they always put me in 3 North. The staff there are amazing. I've always been treated with kindness and care. I also see my cardiologist Dr. Pinkerman and Emily Spangler at the heart clinic. I would recommend them to anyone. Their cardiologist nurse Lynn Ballard is the best. Over the years she has helped me in so many ways. Navigating me through everything from specialized medical equipment to help with my insurance when getting prior authorization for speciality drugs. She is very thorough, kind and thoughtful. I would recommend Methodist Hospital to anyone.

This is a kind hospital 🏥 from the switchboard to the HUC to the nurses. My mother stayed on the Orthopedic Unit and they made her comfortable with one on one care. They made sure she was transferred to the observation unit to bring her blood pressure down so she could recover well from her knee surgery. Every single person that I encountered made me feel welcomed. That's not an easy thing to achieve at any company or hospital 🏥 Thanks 🙏

My aunt Zahra recently had surgery at Methodist Hospital and our family is very grateful for the exceptional care she received. Dr. David Willis performed the surgery and did an excellent job. He was professional, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly while keeping us informed throughout the process. We also want to recognize the wonderful nursing team. Nicole (pre-op nurse), Maureen, and Gina (RN) were incredibly kind, compassionate, and attentive. They made sure Zahra felt comfortable, supported, and well cared for during her recovery. The entire team showed true professionalism and compassion, and it meant so much to our family. Thank you all for taking such great care of her.

I love love love this hospital. The Women’s center has some of the most caring, skilled doctors I’ve ever met. I recently had to have a surgery, one of the first in my life, and every single member of my care team was wonderful. My surgeon, anesthesiologist, nurse anesthesiologist, and OR nurse were amazing. Special shout out to Ruth and Amy, the nurses who took care of me before and after. They were both so unbelievably kind and attentive, talked me through my anxiety, made me feel heard, and worked with my complications with ease and patience. They really made me feel supported and cared for at every step of the way. I really appreciate everyone so much.
